Job Creation Efforts

Atlantic AutomotiveThousands of jobs have been created in our community. Many of these companies are high-tech product development and manufacturing firms. Additionally, several of the companies are high-tech internet companies that are doing extremely well in competing with the very fast-paced internet market. Following is a list of companies that have chosen to locate or expand in the community in recent years include:

IPC Print Services, Whirlpool Corporation, WAVE, Dawson Manufacturing, Modar, Lane Automotive, Edgewater Automation, Atlantic Automotive Components, Alro Steel, WTA Modineer in Niles, Grand Vista, Four Winds Casino as well as others....

Job Loss in the Community
In addition to much growth, several jobs have been lost due to circumstances beyond the community's control. Companies that have created job loss situations in the community include Zenith Data Systems, Wollin Products, Polaroid Digital Solutions, Bowater Paper and Modern Plastics. In all several of these instances, the jobs were relocated to other communities throughout the United States. Fortunately for the community, many new jobs and expansion jobs have been added to the community.
